Yes, do not worry. Who can see it? It acts like a rust preventative. It will be there when you remove the carburetor. You can take a razor blade to it if you are bothered. Just scrape it to bare metal so it can rust up and get all pitted. Just like the damaged cast iron by the leaking temp sensor on the coolant passage!
