I did not realize this and he did not know anything about how to adjust it. Due to the new Strut Type Synchronizer Collars there was a slight interference between the collar and the teeth on this gear. Sometimes in First gear you would hear a tick, under hard acceleration a whine, under burnoff conditions a hum. It was a new one on me
