I do not like smooth surfaces in my combustion chambers. I do not smooth out my grinding marks. I prefer that there is an Orange Peel like appearance to the surface of my combustion chambers. I feel it prohibits the carbon buildup to a degree. I also think that it assists the flow within the chamber by keeping the air and fuel in suspension!
