This is the day in 1984 when I had just purchased the car from the second owner. The car is supposed to be Tyrol Blue but he had butchered it in a high school body shop. The 2nd owner tortured the poor car and threw away all the stainless body trim and bondo'd the holes shut. When I purchased the car i took my (then) 2-1/2 year old son along for the ride. I strapped him in and he said "Make the tires squeal Dad"...we burned rubber all the way down the street on balding snow tires in Northern Michigan. Little did I know that day how rare the 2+2 convertible actually was. I purchased the car and paid off the seller the day of my divorce. 6 months later i was living in the backseat trying to start my life over...36 years later Pontiac Dan is about to bring the Beast to better than it's former glory. I have tracked down the original owner and have stories about the car but sadly, no pictures of the original paint.
