  • You need to install the cover first and bolt it down without the gasket. Make sure that the Ring Gear does not hit the cover when you rotate the differential. If it does then you will definatley need the gasket for sure. Perhaps a different cover.

  • Every thing about the differential has to be just so. It is the starting place for the whole car to function and work. You do not want the car to go sideways down the road or the axles to fall out and ruin the new quarter panels.

  • One other thing to do is to make sure that you only install it when the axles, backing plates, brakes, and etc are all installed. Oh and if you were checking the pinion rotation make sure you install the front seal.

  • I can definately guarantee that this will outlast the car. Say one hundred or so years later perhaps some Carnival owner will see this sitting in a field and take it to use on his Carnival ride. Ever see the differentials in the Zipper?
