In this case the Date Code and the Production Casting Number are under the Valve Cover. Some times they are stamped where the center head bolt goes thru the head and the machining of the pad removes some of the information.

Now seeing as I change them out anyway I guess that makes this a piece of shit. Even the Throttle Blades are rusted to hell and not useable.
