I believe that this is a replacement Choke Housing. I do not remember and as such cannot tell right now. If the old BiMetal Thermostat is broken then I have to replace it with something. The correct part is very expensive so sometimes this replacement is the cost effective alternative. No one will notice. It is 90 percent right
