When they arrive non damaged, I have to actually break the vent cap off to plate it. Often times this distroys the fragile vent stand off under the cap. In such cases I take the plug and install it into the top and then drill a small hole in the plug and put the vent cap back on and screw it onto the plug. Looks NOS and that is all that is important.
