  • Once again you can see the simular part number on the other outer carb.  They are from the same year and style Tri Power.  Not correct for 66.  Now will they work on a 400?  Lets hope.

  • Here is another part number stamped into the lower Throttle Valve Base Plate.  It can also be useful to identify the type of Base Plate and the year of the carb.  Notice the ruined throttle shaft.

  • I am pretty sure that the carb is OEM.  I do not see the Rochester Stamp on the outer Throttle Linkage Arm.  I can not see the correct stamp on the brass fuel fitting.  Just fuel for thought.

  • This type of distortion can eliminate correct operation of the outer two carburetors.  On top of that the carbs also being tasked to operate on a 400 cubic inch motor.   The real question is will the center carb improve performance?  You bet.
