You also have to check their holes to ensure that they are not cracked, damaged, worn to large to hold pins etc. In worse case scenarios when these pins have received damage that telegraphed into the bore, I will drill and Tap them for a Fine Thread Bolt. Cut the Hex Head off and just use the smooth shaft as a pin
