  • Every time I am cussing out ARP.  They do not let the Stock Windage Trays bolt up.  They interfere with the center bolted up oil dip stick tube.  They even are known for wearing thru the pan on the front journal due to the lenght.

  • Here you will notice the factory numbers cast into the block.  You will also notice the other oil galley plug removed.  Go ahead remove this plug.  I have found a finger's worth of sludge behind these before.

  • Notice those nice flat top pistons.  The last guys made his engine for a 400 Standard Piston.  They did not Bore and Hone it for a 389 .060 over piston.  That saved this block from the junkyard.

  • When I ran my bore guage down the holes the first time the little indicator jumped all over.  Out of round, taper, incorrect diameter.  Oh boy these bores were all screwed up.

  • Will you take a look at that proud standing set of 093 Goat Heads.  They look so cool.  Nice new Stainless Steel Valves.  Oh and nice new Hardened Seats.  Not to mention that they are designed to last 200,000 miles now.

  • Oh can you see where I welded up the center Exhaust Port to keep the exhaust gas in the ports and not in the atmosphere?  Yup it was a pain.  After that I Angle milled the Exhaust Flange to cant the manifolds away from the side of the block a little bit.
