Sometimes you have to machine the intake manifold flanges to mate up the head deck machining. In this case I just removed enough to clean up the surfaces and did not cut the heck outa them. So I do not need to surface the intake flanges.

Look at the straps that are tied into the wood bulkheads. Now that is what it is all about. Two bolts into the heads in front and two in rear. Chains awaiting.
