It sure ain't Surface Grease and Grime! The only way the insides of a differential housing will get this surface rust is when you have throughly cleaned it out. If you cannot crack a couple of eggs in the case, turn it on end and let them drain into your fry pan to make the omlette you are gonna eat, IT IS DIRTY!
