Yes, the cover will not fit upside down. In some altered ratio gear sets say 4:56 and up the cover may not have enough clearance for the ring gear. I have seen people just willy nilly bolt up the covers anyway. Drive their car and wear a slot in the cover! Duh, LUGNUT!
