The only issue is - did they install the Transmission Gaskets "Old School"? If so then all you need do is unbolt the parts, pry them apart and razor off the gasket material. It usually sticks to one side no matter what! Real Old School Transmission Techs will "Grease" each side of the gasket. That actually helps sealing by filling minor voids and aids in removal
