Truth is both the Area around the Forward Input Shaft Bearing and Main Cluster Gear Forward Shaft can be welded up. Of course, it is a "Pain in the Welder"! Takes a real high degree of skill and can cause the case to warp if done incorrectly! Be careful, these cases are not dime a dozen.
