Don't just beat it in. Do not touch the end of the hammer on the bushing proper. You need a driver. The definition of a driver is as such. The outer diameter of the tool is .010 to .100 undersize of the O.D. of the bushing. The insertion hub of the driver is best .100 undersize period. I have custom machined drivers somewhat tight and had the bushing shrink during install and grip the driver
