Now just picture the Bronze Blocker Ring sitting on the back side of the Synchro Sleeve and Hub. The Shift Dogs index into the slots on the Blocker Ring. They are pushed towards the Blocker Ring when you shift by the collars. This in turn pushes the Ring into the Gear. This slows rotation of the gear in reference to the Synchro and enables a clean shift
