  • Well here is Third Gear. It goes onto the Main Shaft first. Notice that there is a Flange machined in the main shaft. This is where the gear rides against. Nice area to grease upon install.

  • Here it is installed. Use Petroleum Jelly. The other stuff will make your transmission smell like you are tring to prevent a cold. It melts with the modest application of heat and is absorbed into the Gear Oil.
