Here is a shot of the correct orientation of the Shift Dog Spring. Notice the edges go over and past both Dogs. That is really the only way to screw up the install, leave one end not ontop of a Shift Dog. Oh I guess you could attempt to bend the shit outa the spring so it is sprung. That might work also
