Used garbage

In all cases I usually replace the Bronze Shift Rings. If they are damaged, worn to hell, the little points on the shift rings worn round then they are garbage.

Once that you have good main cap register and are sure that there is no main cap walk on the dowell pins you align bore the main line. This will square it up to the caps, block and deck surfaces. Of course the square main surface sets the rest.
