You need to realize that being an Air Plane, I would of made this exhaust in Stainless Steel in a heart beat! I would still coat it but the pipes would not "Rust" from the inside out. The exhaust rusts the pipes in the inside also. Some engines rust out the pipes super quick from the inside.
