  • Here you have the correct orientation of the rear leaf spring hangers and thru bolts. The nuts torque down onto the plates solid. The threads only go so far. Once the nut has bottomed out there is not one more thousandth of squish left.

  • As far as the inner bolt goes the sleeve that is pressed into the two polyurethane busings determines the clamping pressure of the bolt. This one had to be done with a torque wrench. You can break the stud.
