You can see the cutout areas for the items that have to stick thru the gasket. You can also see that the float would not work if installed above the gasket. The carb would leak gas. You can use gasket cement if you believe you are "Superman Carburetor Technician". If not then just use heavy grease on the air horn side to keep it from moving during mating to the main body
