Ok, got you wondering how I fixed the hole? Well the threads were junk. I drilled it over size and then threaded it up to the next larger pipe thread size. I want that tappered thread to lock in the repair ROD. That is right! Once the threads are in the case I thread a section of Aluminum Rod to the spec. Then I torque the shit out of it into the hole, cut it flush, drill and tap it smaller. Job done
