Once you unbolt the pan look for little metal shaving pyramids in it. Also look for holes, ports, valve body passages and other places full of evidence. You do not add metal shavings to your tranny to improve performance. You change your tranny fluid often by removing your tranny pan. You need to do this to manually inspect the unit
