Yes, I ground off the "Flashing" everywhere on these cylinder heads. Not only is it not good for the cast iron to have such stress risers you could get a piece of cast iron to break off and contaminate you oil. Not as easy as you might think but when I started to grind off the flashing a big chunk just fell off. That's all it takes. Just removing the heads, taking them apart, shake and baking them etc will dislodge casting flash or other garbage. Not only that but this set has to be perfect.
