When the Strut Synchros are pulling the First Gear into the Collar, like they are supposed to, this little gear lightly grinds on the collar. This makes the noise he was hearing. If I had known he was using the Hurst Competition Plus Shifter I could of correctly adjusted his shifter. What a hoot. If the Reverse Idler was machined like others are it would of not mattered. This is a one time in a thousand deal
